What do I do if I come at 11 a.m. for the worship service?
There are signs from the parking lot pointing to the sanctuary. When you come in, there will be a person to welcome you, give you a worship guide for the service, and answer any questions you have. You will also find an information table with brochures about the Timberridge Church and our ministry.
What is the worship service like?
The service is fairly traditional at Timberridge. We seek for our worship to reflect our reverence and awe of God's greatness. A strong emphasis is placed on the preaching of the Word for both understanding and application. People are invited to use the sermon outline printed in the bulletin. Many choose to bring their Bibles to worship so they can follow along with the sermon. Most frequently we sing hymns. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the odd number months.
Will I be singled out as a guest?
You will not in any way be singled out as a guest. The only thing we do is invite everyone in worship to sign the friendship pad that is passed down the pew at the beginning of the service. If you are a first time guest, we also invite you to include your address so that we can send you some information about the Timberridge Church.
What about children in worship?
Children are welcomed in worship. Our pastor, Matt Allison, leads us in a very brief children's time during the service followed by Children's Church for pre-k and kindergarteners.
Is there a nursery?
Yes, we have both a toddler and an infant nursery. A greeter can you show you to them. Tracey Crumbley, our Nursery Coordinator, is in the toddler nursery along with a volunteer. Dawn Vaughn, our nursery attendant, is in the infant nursery, with a volunteer. Both Tracey and Dawn work in the public school system in Henry County and are great with kids. |
