Ray came to the Timberridge Presbyterian Church in 2003 as Director of Music Ministries with thirty years experience in music, youth, and senior adult ministry. He has served as organist for the World Methodist Evangelism Conference at Emory University; has adjudicated vocal competitions; and, has directed numerous church and community choirs. Ray holds music degrees from Georgia Southwestern State University and Brewton-Parker College where he now sings in the Alumni Choir; and, the Juris Doctor degree from Atlanta Law School. He speaks Spanish and is active in missions to Mexico and Peru, working with orphanages and the homeless.
Ray says of church music, "While excellence is always our goal, we are not in the music business. We are in the people business--making music to touch hearts and bring glory to God through Jesus Christ, our Lord."
